Congratulations to Ventnor for planning to be plastic-bag free!
I'm English, but live in Ketchum, Idaho in th Rocky Mountains of America, and tiny little Ketchum is proud to have just become the third transition town in the nation!
Calling ourselves 'The Bag Ladies' we are mounting a big drive to rid our valley of plastic bags, and I simply love the idea of getting a shop to let us make bags in their window. Great idea!
My husband and I will be in the Isle of Wight in October, visiting my brother, who, lives outside Yarmouth. Could we possibly get together to swap ideas, and for you to tell me of other transition initiatives? I look forward very much to hearing from you. Diana Fassino.
